Goals of the Deaconess Ministry are to:

Encourage and promote spirituality throughout the body of Christ
Assist bereaved families continually
Be faithful and steadfast in learning and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.
Serve as instruments of healing,
Aid those who are sick and shut-in and those in distress
Encourage our “New Members” after orientation to attend the teaching arms of the church
Provide spiritual, social and moral support to all the members of The Emmanuel Baptist Church

Objectives of the Deaconess Ministry are to:

Continue to serve with humility, as we become self-sacrificing vessels, set aside for the Master’s use.

The Lord’s Supper

The deaconess ministry has a huge responsibility relative to communion which involves replenishing the supplies for communion, preparing the sacred table, and maintaining a holy place for the implements to be kept. More info coming.

Baptism

The deaconess ministry has a huge responsibility relative to baptism which involves replenishing the clothing and supplies, preparing the new devotees for their Christian journey, and maintaining the baptismal pool. More info coming.
